Location and Parking Information
Up until MDT moves locations in February or March of 2026, MDT classes will be held at Hennepin Center for the Arts in downtown Minneapolis. Location and parking information is below.
Minnesota Dance Theatre
Enter the building on 6th Street at the corner of Hennepin Ave.
Parking:
There are metered, surface lot, and garage parking options nearby to MDT's temporary location at 528 Hennepin Avenue. MDT's new location at 730 SE 9th Street in Marcy-Holmes has free parking.
Biking:
There are bike lanes on Hennepin Ave, First Avenue, and 6th Street. For bike lanes and paths, refer to the City of Minneapolis website. Bikes can be locked on nearby bike racks. The Cowles Center also offers rental lockers for bikes. Otherwise, bikes cannot be brought inside the building.
Public Transportation:
MDT downtown studios are one block from the Warehouse District/Hennepin stop on the Light Rail system and are accessible via bus routes. Visit metrotransit.org to plan your route to both downtown and Lyndale studios.
