MDT's New Director, Lauren Post
"After a 17-year career dancing with American Ballet Theatre (ABT), I am excited to embark on a new journey as school director and leader. MDT is a cornerstone of dance education in Minnesota and I am thrilled to be at the helm of this storied institution. I honor the legacy of the Houlton family and draw on the strength of MDT’s 62-year legacy of excellence.
As a mother of two myself, I know firsthand how beneficial dance education can be for young people. Getting them off their screens and into their bodies, moving to music and opening their minds. These lessons follow dancers far beyond the studio, as evidenced by MDT's many distinguished alumni.
I look forward to harnessing my knowledge and network to provide world-class training for MDT students, ensuring access to any child with a desire to dance, and charting a bright and innovative path forward for the next generation."
