Spring Season

April 7-9, 2017 | The Cowles Center

Celebrating local music icon Bob Dylan, MDT presents the Midwest premiere of Moonshine by world-renowned British choreographer Christopher Bruce. Set to early folk songs from Dylan’s Bootleg Series, the provocative piece explores the emotional stories of four traveling performers. Also highlighting MDT’s classical and contemporary aesthetic, the program features the revival of the enigmatic and beautiful Mythical Hunters, an acclaimed work originally choreographed on Batsheva Dance Company by legendary choreographer Glen Tetley, as well as Lise Houlton’s comic and carefree Point of Departure inspired by Haydn’s “Farewell” Symphony.
