Meet The Company
Minnesota Dance Theatre is proud to welcome a group of talented ‘rookie’ dancers to the company, who are taking the stage with the power, poise and grace of our equally talented ‘veterans’.
 


 
Sam Feipel has been dancing tap, jazz and acrobatics since he was seven, starting ballet and modern when he was twelve. He has studied at the Central Illinois Ballet and the School of Ballet Chicago, and is frequently a guest artist for the Ketchikan Theatre Ballet of Alaska. This is his fifth season with MDT.


 

Caitlin Fitzpatrick has trained at the Minnesota Dance Theatre, the Dance Institute, and performed with MDT’s Repertory Ensemble. Caitlin has also attended School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Ballet West and American Ballet Theatre summer programs. She has performed works by Balanchine, Fricke, Loyce and Lise Houlton, Petipa and Sayegh.

 
Maxamillian Neubauer originally from Iowa, began dancing at the age of four and has been dancing ever since. Maxamillian has studied with the American Ballet Theater, Ballet Intensive Moscow and Pacific Northwest Ballet. This is Maxamillian’s second season with the company.

 
Abdo Sayegh originally from Venezuela, trained with Ballet Nacional de Caracas Teresa Carreño School, and his early performing career included both of Venezuela’s leading companies: the Ballet Nacional de Caracas under the direction of Vicente Nebrada and Ballet Nuevo Mundo de Caracas under the direction of Zhandra Rodriguez. He has danced in works by Ailey, Loyce and Lise Houlton, King, Limón, Nebrada, Rhoden, Sands and Tudor among others. This is Abdo’s twelth season with MDT and holds the position of Artistic Associate. He is a recipient of a 2007 McKnight Artist Fellowship for Dancers, administered by the Southern Theater and funded by the McKnight Foundation.
 

 

Eve Schulte has been dancing since the age of six at Minnesota Dance Theatre School, now the Dance Institute and was a member of the Repertory Ensemble. Eve has been seen in Loyce Houlton’s Nutcracker Fantasy, Carmina Burana and work by Ashton, Balanchine, Fricke, Hart, Tetley and Lise Houlton. This is Eve's first season as a company member.


 
Melanie Verna is a graduate of the School of Minnesota Dance Theatre and has been a recipient of the Coca-Cola scholarship with American Ballet Theatre’s summer program. Melanie has performed repertory by Barbuto, Balanchine, Hart, Loyce and Lise Houlton, Petipa, Rhoden and Rink. Melanie was a member of MDT’s Repertory Ensemble and is in her third season with the company.

 
Elayna Waxse is originally from Overland Park, KS where she trained with Alecia Good and at the Kansas City Ballet School under the directorship of Karen P. Brown. She has spent summers at the School of American Ballet in New York City and at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School in Seattle. During her time at PNB she performed many works with the company including Balanchine’s Symphony in C and Kent Stowell’s Nutcracker. This is Elayna’s second season with the company.
